Caitlin McCarty - Artistic Director and Founder

Born and raised in Reno, NV, Caitlin McCarty is a writer, dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer who has spent much of her young life creating throughout the Reno community. Caitlin began her dance training in classical ballet at The Conservatory of Movement and attended the University of Nevada, Reno where she studied English Writing and Dance. Upon graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno, Caitlin moved to New York City where she worked as an Associate for Brooklyn-based, award winning contemporary dance company, Gallim Dance. While at Gallim, Caitlin acted as the company’s only full time associate and oversaw the company’s education program, collegiate outreach program,  development and much more. Caitlin is a freelance writer and contributor to Dance Magazine’s online publication. Since moving home to Reno, Caitlin continues to write for Dance Magazine, works as a dance teacher for local studios and is an Arts Integration Specialist in Sierra Arts’ Arts Integration Program. Caitlin is currently pursuing her Master in Business Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Leslie Balzer - Assistant Artistic Director and Dance Artist

Leslie Balzer, a Las Vegas native, has been dancing since since the age of thirteen when she enrolled at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts as a Dance major. Balzer graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in Spring 2018 with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies and a minor in Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies and Dance.  Balzer is continuing her education at the University with a M.S. in Equity and Diversity in Education while continuing to explore all dance has to offer. At the University, Leslie has danced for Rosie Trump, Cari Cunningham, Andrea Miller, Artistic Director of NYC based dance company Gallim Dance, and her peers. In her time at the University, Leslie has choreographed work for other student dancers for both the Fall Dance Festival and the Student Choreography Showcase. Balzer has been with the company since its inception.
